The FICCI - USAID -- Technology Development Board (Department of Science and Technology) Millennium Alliance aims to improve the living conditions of millions of people from deprived communities. It tries to do this by identifying, and supporting, innovations that have in them the potential of bringing about a substantial improvement in their everyday lives. Not only would these innovations be transformative but also made universally accessible. The main areas of focus are basic education; water and sanitation; family planning and reproductive health; maternal and child health; agriculture and food security; and clean energy.
