It's a similar to drawing.
It's not difficult when you can do it, and it's time consuming but you don't notice it at all.

I am looking to practice animation and do some workout video's. I am a personal trainer. Can you buy one of these guys already rigged? Where? So far all I have found was Zygote.com and they are taking prepayments to have one made.

nice question ..... the answer is a little bit of both , also difficult, also to time consuming to be enjoyable. .... But quality need sacrifice anyway.
