The handheld garmin (496) is nice because it outputs audible terrian warnings and calls out 500' on final. There is an XM option for XM radio, weather, and metars, but not worth the subscription costs for my usage. I leave it on the terrian page with some enroute data added in... overall, its a great integrated system... in my humble opinion.
