Chapter 5-3 Load Game *no glitches*

This one was bad. Very frustarting to play because of the 5 minues of repetition at the beginning. Those knife scene and laser parts just destroy my mind.

Anyway the cages are simply the most random areas of 5-3. There is no consistency for the first cage at all. No matter what he does he can always grab you eventually at some point. The way it happened for me was the best way.
The second cage needs luck also. The first part is kinda consistent. I press the first switch then he dosent attack me when I turn around if I stay tight to the wall. He attacks late usually or sometimes jumps up. I need more luck after this to make it to the third cage.
Third cage is extremely simple. Just keep your distance when firing the rocket to avoid being stunned by the explosion. I found a nice little trick in the actual boss battle to avoid being stunned by the first rocket blast. But after learning it I realised that we must wait until his pincer part lies down so he is vurnerable to damage again. He is invincible until this point so getting stunned actually works out almost perfectly. I just used my new trick for show :)

The krauser area is not as hard as the cages. The first encounter is simple. He can either use his crossbow, TMP or throw a grenade at me. Even if he hits me at ths point it dosent waste time because he starts to run to me anyway at this point after he lands the hit. Once I enter the room I use the window this time to fire the rocket at him. This allows me to use my new trick. I use a rocket blast to stun me before the flash will. So just as I the stunned animation is finishing the flash lands and dosent stun me again so I can run instantly. This saves 2 seconds exactly if timed to perfection. He can throw it earlier or late sometimes depending on how he fell to the ground from the blast. I fire to the same area every time to keep it consistent. The running part towards the statue part can be bad. If he throws a grenade then it's perfect but the crossbow and TMP can ruin our runs. I got the crossbow this time but kinda moved to help avoid it. The next fight is easy. I move back while he jumps up(he is invincibe for a while aftre he lands up top too) then fire the rocket without getting stunned. Standing on the platform before the flash grenade allows us to land at the perfect statue position afterwards. The statue push is tricky but becomes alot easier with repetition. You get a *feel* for when to stop pushing. Next hard part is the robots area. This was the most frustrating part before I learned the trick. If i just run tight into the corner then I failed every time. I got stunned 100% in the tunnel. You see me run into them slightly before turning the corner. This seems to stop them exploding into the back of me and stunning me. They must get confused for a second then just give up when I get further away. The next set of robots is simple. I just run near the main gunner robot to stop him attacking me before the tunnel.
Then we have final krauser. I fired the rocket a certain way to make it more consistent. I just held left as soon as I started aiming at him and it worked alot more than before. He still ruined one my best runs before I got this one. There is tension at this point because of how hard the segment is so I was very happy to see it through almost perfectly. I combine the herbs at the ending while equipping a hand grenade to prepare for the speedrunners worst nightmare(5-4).

I personally find that knife fight easier on the wii because you can shake and press A+B at the same time, works everytime.
