Finally, over a year since my last practicing video I've got myself a new full-sized keyboard, the M-Audio KeyStation 88es, and can finally finish learning Mad World.

If you wanna know how I learned to play this, check out the Piano Tutorials playlist on my channel. Also subscribe if you want to see how I do on the other pieces I'm about to start practicing on and how I progress as a non-note-reading bastard :)

P.S.
Sorry for the progressive/variable tempo, I'm still not completely comfortable playing the piece, hence "Practice"

  • Nice one. But since you're playing the vocals too, does this mean that the piano part is actually one hand?

  • For the most part, yup.

  • I like it. How long have you been playing?

  • Thanks. Not quite sure how to answer how long I've been playing since I really don't actually know how to play :) What I do is I watch someone play something, then I just mimic the movement of the hands and the positioning of the fingers/pressed keys and I keep doing it over and over till I've memorized it. I would love to actually be able to read notes, know what the hell a C Flat or Sharp etc means and learn the ability to hear what a given note/chord is then just play it on the keyboard.

  • @DarkSwordlessLink66 The keyboard you see here is the Keystation 88es. It actually doesn't produce ANY sounds on its own. It MUST be connected to a computer, and the computer actually synthesizes the sound. With this keyboard, you can use many different types of computer software and instruments, so the types of sounds it makes is limitless. If you want a keyboard that produces sound on its own, you will have to look elsewhere.

  • This is the first song I learned on the piano! :D Took a couple hours since I'd never touched a piano before. I haven't tried to do the word parts before o.o Sheet music please good sir? At least for the hand parts if you don't happen to have a copy of it all lying around.

  • @McKack i do like almost the samething

  • can you do a video of how to play it please

  • can you do a video of how to play the right hand please?

  • now play it as fast as you can, then it sounds funny
