@MultiAlamak - LOL, i have a Getz 1,5 CRDi and the 1,4 or the 1,6 Getz don't stand a chance against mine even when it was standard it did 0-100 in around 9 - 10 seconds depending on my launch. Nowadays i reach 100 in less than 6 seconds as i did a few mods on it. K & N filter, downpipe, freeflow exhaust and chip as well as the cam was changed.

@Fuchs1337 shows what you know, there are incredible diesels out there...
Duramax, Cummins ?? very good engines...
Would you say no to a BMW 535d or 530d.... i had a 530d wich did the 1/4 in 13,1sec !
Only mods it had were a remap and better flowing exhaust, even had the stock air filter on it, so FUCK YOU ;)

what i meant by cheaper is the cost at pump stations~
its just that 99% of diesel engines cant rev past 5k rpm~ my diesel van barely reaches 4k rpm at 140km/h till the van starts to vibrate cos of high speeds (at the highest gear which is 5th)~
my hyundai getz 1.6M 3doors gets to 179km/h at around 7k rpm at 5th gear (i didnt have the chance to go faster cos of traffic ahead)~
torque is for heavy load slow move off~

@zomgbbqwth most diesel cars are more expensiv then gasoline cars, did u switched the word? and yes diesel cars has more torque, but only on startup in every gear, i always smoke my brothers 90 hp tdi leon when he has to shift in second gear at 50kmh, and my 75hp gasoline blasts till 85kmh and then the diesel cant stand a chance anymore... diesel are good for business, if u have to drive the whole day, dont need to much fuel, but not for racing, 97% of race cars are gasoline (in rally its 100%)

i have a 1.4 petrol hyundai getz and does better then this,my friends 1.6 goes 0-100 in 11.6 secs mine goes 0-100 in aroudn 13.4 to 13.7 secs
