  • I had one of these in Jr. High and I thought I was the "Cat's Meow". Circa late '80's.

  • It's not classed as a switchblade! As the blade is fixed, it's technically classed as a retracting sheath knife! It wouldn't fall foul of switchblade laws in the US. But in today's PC world, anything with a button or a switch seems to get regarded as an automatic knife. It could be used as an offensive weapon, so can anything if you put your mind to it. The edge company catalog used to sell them as an office tool.

  • I had to smile at your video. I was a Sales Manager for TEKNA from 1984-1990 when this knife was launched. I am laughing at the band aid on your finger. Accident from the knife? We sold a lot of these to the Sharper Image and every other catalog imaginable, along with cutlery chains. Definitely not marketed as a dive knife.

  • My unlce found one in a storage shed...so I guess im lucky? nice it's a cool freakin knife....so I have a question! the button kinda sticks like you have to press it really hard! any pointers on how to oil it up or whatever?

  • Awesome nice real throwback !
