The eastbound Union Pacific 844 steam train pops out of tunnel #31 and heads into tunnel #32 below highway 70 near Keddie, California on May 2, 2009 at 11:59 AM. The train slows as it prepares to exit tunnel 32 and stop on the Keddie Wye bridge for a photo runby.
Please, no negative comments about "how the steam ruined the shot," etc. If you have negative comments about this video, please keep them to yourself.
Actually, I think the smoke and/or steam create a different kind of mood. I could see a movie director using that to good effect in a picture.

An excellent video, I love how we can see the steam coming out of the engine and right in front of you, just how its supposed to be. Incredible place to get video and you got it.
You still got all the video and some of the whistle, again, love the steam that engine makes, truly a real steam locomotive video as you got the steam! Not many people can say that they have experienced that.
Nice job, brilliant video, thumbs up, 5 out of 5.

Wow. I love this shot!! Beautiful view of tunnel and 844 coming by!! And btw, I have seen so many people complaining (on their own videos)-- "All the steam ruined my shot". Pfft. I don't see it that way AT ALL. I -love- it... makes it even more dramatic to me-- after all this IS a steam train! And I also absolutely love that ending shot with the lights on the last car (the Cheyenne I think) as it goes into the dark tunnel!! GREAT video!!

Interesting Shot George, the bridge and sounds give you the impression that its going to come out of the tunnel and not from underneath! The bridge really must've shook under that thing.. Shame that the extensive amount of smoke somewhat ruined the shot.. But, gotta give you credit, bet no one else woulda done that
