Most coastal Americans have "hired" an illegal. If you have patronized a business which uses illegals for labor then you have hired them. Now when I worked for a major restaurant chain in California, we didn't actually hire illegals. We hired a "cleaning service" which in turn hired people we had not hired or approved. So we hired them by proxy. I didn't actually realize this until I was there especially late one night and saw a 14 year old barefoot Mexican girl in a dress scrubbing the floor.
