Not a bad movie after all; though these trendy entertainment shows are a global menace for sure; a lot of running in the movie but Trainspotting was far better and the story is so wired that it could be almost real: It had all love, friendship, the old Cain and Abel story about to hostile brothers, hope and salvation; but the final question was too much, at least for an French person: The names of the three musketeers... but I may quote Euripides on the slum dilemma:

I hate how in all the movie awards Twilight wins everything leaving Slumdog Millionare with nothing. This is my favorite movie of all time. :)

slum means poor side of country..Basically a poor kid coming from poverty stricken areas.

basically.. people living in slums..
people have pity on them and think they are superior to people living in slums etc etc etc
so yeah... they start calling them "slumdogs"
