"The Mystical World of George MacDonald"
This film is now available on DVD for free to my YouTube subscribers. I may sell it eventually, but I want my supporters here to have it first and at no cost. All you have to do is send me a message here or through the email at my website and ask for it. Feel free to show it at your church, school, or other special events.
Part 5 - The American Tour & Hell
This is the 5th part from a 51-minute documentary on the life and fantasy works of 19th century Scottish author--George MacDonald. I had abandoned the project in 2007 but eventually went back and finished it. It takes a long time to do everything by myself: writing the script, programming all the lettering effects and other special effects, hunting down photos, and especially composing and recording background music along with the narration.
The entire script is culled from my book: "C.S. Lewis Called Him Master (Exploring the Life & Adult Fantasy Works of George MacDonald)". MacDonald was a very big influence on later writers such as C.S Lewis and G.K. Chesterton. MacDonald is often spoken of as having had a mystical imagination. He excelled in fantasy literature of a spiritual nature, the best of which would probably be "Lilith", "Phantastes", "The Portent", and a children's book called "At the Back of the North Wind".

He must reign 'til all are under His feet. What did enemies look like in the Gospels that were at His feet? Writhing in their own sweat, smoke & stink? Or like Tom weeping "my Lord, my God"? There is no "much more" grace of Romans 5 for as long as death perpetually holds 1sinner. 2say otherwise is 2say that Christ died 4the pious instead of 4the chief of sinners. As Abe Lincoln said "He's either Lord & Saviour of ALL or He's not Lord & Saviour AT ALL!" Biblical grace must reach Biblical ends4all

That's interesting. It sounds as though his view of suffering was close to the Catholic one; but without the crucial distinction:
temporal suffering being exactly a means to renew our awareness of God; eternal suffering being our final rejection of God even when we know Him.

I must be one of very, very few people in the world who doesn't see reason as being infallibly 100% true.

I don't either, but I do think God expects us to use our brains to the best of our ability and that to follow faith unreasonably is in itself bad religion.
Integrity is the key, and it also happens to be the subject of my next video sure to be ignored by the masses. :-)
