Animation created by BEd students in about 80 minutes. Approximately 30 minutes on using animation in education and how to use I Can Animate ( http://www.kudlian.net/products/icananimate/ ), then the rest of the time creating the animation then adding titles, sound effects, etc. in iMovie ( http://www.apple.com/ilife/imovie/ ). Main aim of the session was to let the students experience creating an animation and to see how easy creating animation can be.(Well the technical ICT skills are not complex... but it can still be time consuming and tricky to get it to look right.)
The value of the exercise for the students is probably in the process rather than the product but perhaps something like this could be used to start a conversation about people that help us or responsible citizens.
