@silkpassionqt It's Shao Hsing wine - a rice cooking wine. You can also use cooking sherry in place of it :)

these fried ribs look tasty, ill have to make em sometime. Do you think adding some garlic/chili paste would alter the sauce too much?

@randy0987 It will change the flavor a bit though I think it would be good as well. When you mix the sauce ingredients, add a little at a time and taste it before adding it to the ribs :)
