  • i have a fawn male, just turned 10 months..he is a gentle gentleman,,except the fact he is a slob..you give a dog a treat and most of them eat the crumbs off the floor and then lick the floor,,mine has crumbs and drool all over the place and when you tell him to eat whats on the floor he looks at you like,"i'm not eating that".

  • I know :-) and it is slime ALL over the house!!! Floors, roof, pictures frames, walls, doors, books you name it. What impresses me is that if I add corn to his meal, all the corn is left in his bowl but he eats all the other food. They are great dogs. I love my Duke!

  • may i ask how duke is doing?

  • Duke is doing great. He is still super nice to her and they are good friends.

  • sooooo cute! i have two Danes and they are both that way with my kids. even my older cranky girl who did not grow up around kids. she still lets them crawl all over her :)

  • he he I know :-). My baby will sit on his head and step on his body to get into the sofa. It is so cute to watch.

  • @fjellklatrer ...pinch his balls? Theres a line being crossed.

  • No I am not afraid he will bite. Duke loves his little sister and are so patience and protective of her. Great Danes are very family friendly dogs. She can pull on his tail, pinch his balls, sit on his face, play with his ears and he will just lay there like he is in the video :-)

  • this is to be my 4th over my life..i love them..anyone who tells you ya cant buy friendship has never had or met a great dane..i usually take him for a walk aroun 7pm..however yesterday we went at around 12pm,so when i walked in from work at aroun 11:30 he shadowed me for 3 hours whining and crying..looking at and opening the door where i keep his leash.such a pain in the ass at times, but i love him dearly.

  • awwww how cute <3

  • @fjellklatrer Yeah, I've found that the bigger the dog is, the more they love wee little children. They know that little kids are fragile and they go out of their way to be nice around them.
