@rmworthem Wayne was classified as 3-A (family deferment) in 1941' .In May, 1944, Wayne was reclassified as 1-A (draft eligible).
Republic studios obtained another 2-A deferment for Wayne until the war ended. Wayne was never classifeid as 4-F except in your fantasy.

@LazlosPlane There are men who wanted to fight but could not. They were called 4f... my grandfather was one of them. I don't care what you think if John Wayne HE WAS A TRUE AMERICAN!!!!
-
@hillbilly2684 No to the first, yes to the second.
-
@LazlosPlane Do you know what it's like to get up at 6:00 am for a make-up session after a night of drinking and womanizing? The Duke did. He drukenly stumbled off of a bar patio in the dark at 2:00 am and twisted his ankle pretty badly, but he went on, having the director film close-ups and talking parts while he endured some minor discomfort.
-
Well, he's no Peter Fonda, who actually went overseas to fight despite being 37 and having kids as well, but he sure looked like a hero in film, even if he wasn't actually heroic at all.
John Wayne was a REAL man! America needs God fearing men with TRUE GRIT - not spider fearing sodomites wearing perfume!!

@ilikezappa You can't be serious! Freedom for all its citizens - yes. EVERYONE has the opportunity to become something great. White and educated? Hardly. Unless you are of non-caucasian genealogy, there is NOTHING available to you in the way of government assistance. "Equality" is a farce now. The only people benefiting from the equal-rights movement are the non-whites! Us "krackers" have been delegated to the minority now. And the ONLY people who don't claim their "entitlements" are us whites!
