At a special United Nations summit on climate change, President Barack Obama told world leaders the United States understands the gravity of the problem and is determined to act. The U.N. meeting is aimed at reviving lagging negotiations before a critical international conference on global warming due to take place in Denmark at the end of this year. The IPCC relays on 1300 years of plant and fossil data (read chap 9 of 4th report) that shows a flat temp the last 1300 years with a spike at the end claiming no outside forces (solar or volcanoes) could have caused this drastic rise so it must be man.
