Josh took a question/request from an audience member (Kate) who was joining the Navy as a sonar tech and leaving in three weeks. He let her on stage and they sang "Smile" together. This concert was on August 3, 2011 in Pittsburgh's Console Energy Center.

  • @operadiva114 I think he could have handled Baby Got Back after hearing him start to break it on down for a couple lines. That definitely cherishable. My wife even cried a little at the end thinking it was so nice.

  • @kluski44 Haha. I died when he went into that bit. Should've requested "Baby Got Back". That'd have been especially memorable, eh? But I am happy with "Smile". It's a special song to me & it's also the first song I learned to play on piano. Now I have another reason to cherish it.

  • @operadiva114 We chuckled at that part and thought it was a good idea. It was also funny how relieved he was that you have sung before and that you didn't want to sing 'I want to sex you up.'

  • I actually went to the show by myself. A girl next to me was kind enough to take my camera & record what she could of it. (Security told her she had to stop taking video.) And thank you so much! I was so nervous. Made HIM start the song b/c I realized I forgot the lyrics for a second in all my excitement. bahahaha.

  • @operadiva114 Thats great! I posted this hoping you might find it. Not sure if you were with anyone that recorded it. We were impressed with how well you sang, good job. Too bad the cell phone couldn't record things better.

And for the Military service - THANK YOU!

And from a Navy family - good choice

  • This is me! hahaha Needless to say, this moment was the HIGHLIGHT of my life. Never thought they'd choose my question--or that he'd actually sing with me. Best send-off a Future Sailor could ask for.
