  • one question i have is why do all floppy drives need such a big circular pad of metal underneath? the only thing i can't fathom in all the repairs i've done to a floppy drive is the size of that?

  • @hooker1uk To help to keep a rotation velocity more stable due to their weight? Just wondering!

  • god bless old computers.

  • @OBSysteme Thanks!

  • wow, awesome! why did you got it in the first place? are you a programmer?

  • @TheMechanicalLemon This was my first computer, bought at 1984. It works perfectly until these days. Yes! I'm a programmer too.
