@GroovyNikki Exactly! Kate was a horrible mother! She should have been there for Nadine esp. in view of Julien's neglect, instead it's "don't be silly," throw money at her, & go back to wallow in her own self-pity. Mistral took no intrest in her, so Kate just wrote her off, seeing no use for her in her schemes. She taught her nothing except to think of # 1. Nadine was cold enough to have killed KATE if it came to it.

Fauve is just so pretty with her ribbon and red hair and brown eyes.

"Nadine was an accident."Mistral is just horrible when he's saying these words to fauve.He was with Kate when he made love.Just horrible to hate his own child.Poor Nadine.She grew without love and learnt to be bitter.So sad!!Mistral should be ashamed to have such thoughts.Nadine asked for nothing.

The scene where Mistral and Fauve are in the studio studying the apple and he's holding her hand and giving her a kiss (with Nadine watching) is so heartbreakingly sad.

Granted Nadine may have been snobby. However, if Mistral had shown her just a LITTLE kindness, she would not turn out hateful and bitter the way she did at the end of the miniseries.

Plus Mistral BADMOUTHS Nadine to Fauve?!? Even FAUVE felt he was being cruel.

Funny, Nadine throws a little cream at another kid and a ball on the table and that SOB raises the roof "Can't you control your own daughter, Kate?" But when his precious little Fauve brags about beating other kids up and rough houses he thinks it's funny and adorable.
