  • what did it place in the baja?

  • @TDONLEY91 I think it came first in is class .. and very good in the overall for a stock motor not even built for that type of race.. amazing IMO.

  • Okay it can tow 11300 lbs at a constant what about stop and go traffic to me that would have been much more of a test then this but hey I am not an engineer!

  • @1998disco72 well both test is Important it pass all test they did .. but I would agree even more testing is good .. all the most important seem to have been done however.

  • continued... I drove in traffic in Tuscon and San Antonio with no problems, was able to accelerate and pass any time I wanted. 4-6% grades pulled with no problem no loss of speed and plenty of power to spare. Mileage has been improving as the motor breaks in. (only 3200 miles total on the truck right now) This is a real life test, anf the truck is doing fantastic. the V8's cant sta with it on the hills, no chance. Ecoboost is the way to go in a truck this size.

  • I am half way across the country today, sunday 5 Feb, my ecoboost super crew 4 wd has been pulling just over 5000 pounds for the past 1400 miles. Left San Diego headed for North Carolina. Best mileage has been 13 MPG and the truck is running 1750 rpm at 70 MPH. It has never varied more than 3 mph on the speed in cruise control.

  • i get from reliable source these things are like 2 horsepower less than the 6.8 v10...whats the point of something bigger anymore? unnessecary pollution?

  • @schrein9 why would you care you cant get the ecoboost with a standard.... you cant get standards in f-150-f550. i believe its called technology from the last 59 years.

  • yeah the ford f150-f550 is all automatic now i think they come with a standard mode...this is the 21st century.

  • Can't get it with a manual so who cares.

  • my tj would love this engine!

  • its a turbo right? is it the same one from the taurus sho?
