I wonder if the author knows that Ayn Rand was a successful Hollywood script writer? Check it out if you don't believe me.

Yes, quite simply they do think it's about trains and don't understand what Ayn Rand was saying in this movie or her book. Sad. And, to think Ayn's book was written in the mid 50s.

You are talking to someone that actually read the book, but isn't blinded by it, to be honest I am a capitalist, never the less, I don't read characters that so extremely selfish than in this book.

And like Rand I am atheist, so I don't have any divine interpretation of the book, they want to live in a world apart from the common people so between them they can live in a world without consequences.

And not forget it a about the narcissist believes of rich people thinking that they are better than everyone else and they have to live with their own rules, without suffering the consequences of their actions.

It funny, I begin to read the books because I have curiosity about this movie.

Note: I already known the philosophy of Ayn Rand, but I not believe it, deregulation only create greed, not forget about a giant economic bubble that explode in our faces, and the corporations didn't want to pay the cost of the consequences.

I think they buy the DVD because of curiosity more than anything else, that why I get the Atlas Shrugged (the book, not the movie) in first place, never the less, Rand use the excuse of collectivism vs. individualism to hide her worshiping for rich people, thinking that they are better than everyone else.

This video is a pretty accurate parody of the first one. Because if you have no prior knowledge of Atlas Shrugged then the movie is just about a train mogul and an adulterer who overcome obstacles to train building, by building a train line.

And on a train related note. Seriously 250mph? With that train, on those curves, in the rockies, at that speed? I don't care how great the railing is, that scene ends in them being mangled in a horrible train derailing.
