Apparently it is too much work to check a blind spot before merging.

  • I know its not your fault , but you didn't seem to hesitate slowing down.. it would have been safer if you did so..

  • @looda90 Probably. I would have just braked and moved a little more to the left if he continued into my lane.

  • did u flip him off

  • @orbitaldropshockspar No, I just looked at him and he looked at me as we continued down the road. I don't flip the bird.

  • @losttomeself Thats a good philosophy. Last time someone flipped me off it was when I honked the horn after being cut off.. maybe he didnt realise what happened, but the rage that follows is just indescribable. Makes you want to drive them off the road.

  • @seblasian Yea, there really is no reason for it. Always makes it worse. I witnessed this after a guy flipped another driver off he chased him down the road! All he had to do was wave sorry, and it would have ended right there.

  • @looda90 I would slow down ONLY if he would show his intention to change a lane. You don't slow down, you just keep your eyes wide open! Great job "Losttomeself"

  • A situation like this has happened to me, except it was around a curve and I blasted my horn for 5-7 seconds. He responded by continuing the lane change and then slowing all the way down to 40mph forcing me to brake.

  • Wow. *Exactly* what happened to me today. I always move on the opposite edge of the lane when passing vehicles in case of idiots like this. Good job containing your anger; flipping him off would've made it worse.

  • @losttomeself I agree. No point giving the bird. It only causes road rage. The horn in a situation like that is quite sufficient. It had the desired effect.
