@TripolisUnited Long distance running isn't as good for your heart as sprinting. It makes your heart actually too efficient, and over time puts greater strain. But if it's necesscary for what you do, you have to do it. Interval training is the best for cardiovascular health as well as weight loss.

Sprinting a hundred meters a few times each day is a pretty terrible way to go about anaerobic conditioning. Other than that, an aerobic base is good but it's benefits stop entirely when you start hitting the realm of heavy anaerobic work; i.e. sandbag drills, sledge hammer tire swings, etc.
