The hollow hemisphere is the basic building block for many sculpty shapes such as hats, boat hulls, and other builing elements. Here I show how to make a hemisphere starting with the most basic sculpty form, a sphere of 16 sections and 15 slices. You can take it from there using the same technique, and with larger spheres.

  • Tf2 hats, here i come!

  • Thank you. This is very useful. You make it look so easy.

  • Nice tutorial for beginners like me. :)

  • how do u rotate

  • @luketrashtalker intrude doesn't seem to work for exporting sculpties to Second Life, I get the "unsupported mesh" error.

  • HOW TO DESELECT?

  • @XxXxXxXxmanxXxXxXxXx Actually, this is the long way to hollow an object. The newest download of Wings 3d has a function called "Intrude" which will do exactly the same thing in a fraction of the time. It also produces much smoother results since it's automatic.

  • AWESOME TY!!! FUCK YYEAH
