Een jonge giraffe gedwongen om op te treden bij dit circus. Op de beelden te zien dat die niet zo een zin heeft eigenlijk.

In de natuur valleen roofdieren toch ook prooidieren aan en eten ze hun toch ook op?

Mensen zijn toch ook natuur????

Het enige wat voor mij het circus anders maakt dan bijvoorbeeld vlees eten (Ben zelf wel vegetarier)

is dat er miljoenen manieren van vermaak zijn en ik het belachelijk vind dat zo'n zieke middeleeuwse manier van entertainment nog steeds bestaat.

(dit geld overigens ook voor andere dingen waarbij dieren domme kunstjes moeten doen en daarna in hun mini hokje worden opgesloten)

De voorbeelden die jij geeft zijn zeker ook mishandeling en niemand zegt dan ook dat dit 'zieliger' is dan een andere situatie.

maar je moet je bedenken dat giraffen tijdens het vervoeren soms wel 12 uur lang met hun nek gebogen moeten zitten. Hiernaast is het voor geen enkel wild dier goed om op een paar vierkante meter hun leven lang te leven, of dit nou een circus, een dierentuin of de bioindustrie is

Wie zegt dat de Giraffe geen zin heeft om op te treden?

Hij loopt alleen achteruit, wil dat meteen zeggen dat dit dierenleed is?

Kijk eens bij slachthuizen en bij honden die in een flatje 5 hoog zitten. Dat zijn veel en veel meer dieren dan in een Circus. Waarom is dit dierenleed?

De dieren bij Belly Wien hebben genoeg ruimte en worden goed verzorgd!

you guys don't know what you're talking about. If a child has got to go to school and he doesn't want to go into the car you can ask him, but if he really doesn't want it you can also lift the kid and put him in the car. This is the same way, the giraffe doesn't want to go forward so you ask him to go forward by pulling on the rope. This animal starts to pull back so the boy is pulling a little bit harder and the giraffe is going into the circus.

@BluesmanDizzy Well said. Many people have no idea how well these animals are treat and looked after with loving care. I like yourself have had first hand experience of circus life. In all my time I never once saw any cruelty to any animal only kindness.

If you are talking about cruelty people do to animals, go and take a look inside a slaughterhouse, or see a steeple-horserace, or a bullfight.

I can name many more examples, but this will do I guess.

I see no cruelty here at all.

That giraffe is treated well.

I've witnessed that for myself behind the scenes of this particular circus.

As for the 'forced performance'..the only thing that giraffe has to do is to make a few rounds around the circus ring, and gets rewarded for that with fruits.
