Ellen Hargis (soprano) and Paul O'Dette (lute) from "The Christmas Album" on Noyse Productions (go to noyseproductions.com for texts, translations, notes, and other fine CDs)
I have this wonderful CD and play "Sweet was the song" on the Renaissace lute. Well "Châtres" has become "Arpajon"(since 1720)nowadays. Châtres means fortified roman camp (Latin "Castra") and appeared 250 years after J.C. Great thanks !
