All right, stitchergirlz, if you've got your bookmark kit, here are the instructions for making your bookmark. We have a video tutorial and a downloadable pattern pdf. In addition to the pattern, the pdf contains diagrams and detailed instructions for stitching and finishing.

In the video, Jen promises to leave a link to a tutorial explaining how variegated threads can create different effects depending on how they're used. You can check it out here.

If you have any questions, post them here in the comments or send them directly to Jen at mail [AT] funkandweber [DOT] com.

When you've stitched your bookmark, you can post a picture of it in the brand new Stitching for Literacy Flickr Group. We'd love to see it!

And let us know if you make some to include in books you drop on April 15, 2010 for Operation TBD.

Happy stitching, readergirlz!

PS - If you have not ordered a kit and would like to, you have until March 15, 2010 to send your name and mailing address to readergirlz [AT] gmail [DOT] com.
