My best advice: IF AT ALL POSSIBLE ESCAPE! If you cant escape then try to put something between you and the knife... car, tree, pole whatever. Finally, if you MUST fight, accept that you will be cut and overcome that fear. The second you choose to engage the knife user your accepting the probability of being cut and/or stabbed. Finally, if you MUST engage, use a weapon... stick, rock, purse, belt ANYTHING! It's about survival and you need to even the odds.
