Please remember that victims of Hurricane Katrina are still struggling to recover almost a year later. At least 1,836 people lost their lives and hundreds of thousands of Americans lost their homes. Peace Takes Courage has put together a list of organizations that are still working to help victims of the storm. Even the smallest amount helps, so please donate. Please visit www.peacetakescourage.com/aid for information on how you can help Katrina victims.

  • I wonder how long people will excuse criminal behavior as incompetence

  • This is nothing more than an anti-Bush ad. What truly amazes me is that people still choose to live in an area that is: prone to hurricanes, it several feet BELOW sea level, and is still sinking. Yes, I know people lost everything there. So they need to write off what they lost, be thankful they are still alive, and then rebuild somewhere else.

  • You shouldnt post videos about things you don't understand. I am from Slidell, LA and was there before and after the storm. I'm not a fan of Pres. Bush but the lack of response came from our own state leadership - mainly Gov. Blanco and Ray Nagin.

Oh yea, FYI, in the U.S. when a disaster happens the request for help has to come from the state level and go up... Gov. Blanco dropped the ball and requested that they be given a "few days" to assess their needs... Where's the imovie on that?

  • excuse me. you dont know what we have been through. people lost their houses. people didnt have money after the storm. i was there i know. every penny we got went towards gas money so we could eat healthy food and not junk food. now the gulf cost is looking better than it ever has. you need to get a life instead of critisizing people from what mother nature done.

  • i was born in louisiana and so this is really sad

  • Great job, Ava!

  • "WAR is Easy - Peace takes courage!" :)

We may have different goals Ava, but the ultimate goal are the same - justice to the victims and peace.

    - Keep on good job!

  • Blameing the victim, is what I expect...

  • Great video Ava
