  • i remember year after year we went there and viewed the railway whilst it was just starting to be built and donated money to the woody bay team! well done its well worth the visit! How far Have they got now!

  • @awaltersgc they are currently going from woody bay to killington lane. and next stage is to get to paracombe. i think what they would like to happen is get round from woody bay to blackmoor gate. then once all this has been achieved in many years to come. they would like to go back other way out of woody bay to lynton and lynmouth. but they will need at least 1 miilion to put a tunnel/bridge for railway to go under from the road next to woody bay.

  • I like it. We're going to pay this line a visit for the 1st time when we're on holiday in Somerset in September. Its advertised as "Axe" running everyday. Lets hope it doesn't fail! Would be nice to see steam. Like the video. 5*

  • Have visited this railway twice now and was hoping to see the replica Lyd at Woody Bay last year but could not make it... lovely railway lets hope it's not to long before they restore some more of the trackbed...well worth a visit....

  • A really great video - well done. I too will be paying my first visit to the railway in September, the week before the Annual Autumn Steam Gala being held on the 25th, 26th and 27th. I understand they are expecting a visit from 'Lyd', a replica of one of the Manning-Wardle locomotives that originally operated on the railway. I can't make the weekend but hopefully this loco may have arrived early for me to see!
