The greatest of his era. - and a very humble man

John Curry is truly in a class of his own in figure skating. He was literally a ballerino on skates. We will never again see the likes of him. He is sorely missed.
-
Oh just amazing!!! Elegant, balletic, athletic, passionate...John Curry was one of a kind.

This performance is kick ass! Young Skaters take note of what you can offer the audience with your skating. I wonder if skating will ever return to its former glory?
-
Absolutely adore his interpretation of the music. Breath-taking performance..

Wow I can't believe it's the first time I saw this performance. Truly brilliant.

"One realizes that Olympic athleticism in skating just means flash, and a few gestures of "yearning" thrown in between the jumps suffices for artistry. Curry built on precise footwork and control to support an imaginative and meaningful vision. That's a true melding of athleticism and artistry."
Bravo!!!!
I'm holding up a lighter right now, for that.
I propose a DVD of Skating 101.
John Curry will feature in it quite a bit.
John Curry's interpretation of "Scheherazade" was, and still is, the best by any figure skater ever.
