The weather has not been to our liking in lower Michigan this season. So we headed up to Caberfae Peaks in Cadillac Michigan for a couple days. The park only had some ride on box lines and a nice butter pad but it was still a great time and we couldn't have asked for better conditions.

Day 1
55 degrees with blue skies. Felt like we were doing some March spring riding.
Filmed with a 42Mbps Hacked GH2, Lenses used - 20mm f1.7 prime and a 7.5mm f3.5 fisheye.

Day 2
32 degrees snowing and super foggy. Much more like winter at this time should be.
Filmed with a GoPro Hero2. B roll filmed with 42Mbps Hacked GH2, Lenses used - 20mm f1.7 prime and 45-200mm f4.

Riding and Filming: Andrew Young and Aaron Schneider

Had a super fun time. Always feel welcome at Caberfae and can't wait to get back up there when we get some real Michigan snow.

  • if your waiting for a "big" park im not sure if i would recommend going back up there. even tho everyone is slow to set up there parks this year judging by the vids from last year they dont look like much of a park place.

Im gonna have to subscribe to the channel tho pretty sweet, saw that you had some modern footy and some burg (never been but looks nice) where are you guys from?

  • @awszach Thanks for the subscribe! Were from Oakland county down in south east MI. I used to live up near Caberfae and you're right they aren't much of a park place, but when they have a lot of natural snow they have some of the best back country in MI so that's probably what I'll go back up for. haha but maybe not cause this weather is just terrible.

  • well they havent added in the last 2 weeks, you guys didnt touch the c box?

  • @awszach haha yeah the c box was like glue and had a terrible kicker. So they haven't put in the big park yet? Waiting to go back up there.

  • @MackyDre Glad you like the board!! GF1 is a great camera! For this video we used the Opteka X grip stabilizer. You can find it on BandH photo or Optekas website. We also have one made out of aluminum that is small and custom fit for dslrs.

  • @NativeNotion Thanks for the reply! I tried it out last weekend in tahoe. That board is awesome! I was curious.. what did you use to stabilize your videos? I have a GF1 and can never get videos to be that steady

  • @MackyDre You should be alright. It might take some getting used to but the nug is a nice meaty board!

  • @xCorruptxClan We went on a Wednesday and Thursday. Seemed to be the perfect time!

  • I was also trying to find people riding this board.. I just picked up a 142.. I'm a little nervous to ride it tho! I'm 5'7" 150.. you think the 142 is too small? My previous board was a 152
