Does EVERY song performed by Turtle Creek have to crawl along at a snail's pace? Gravitas and power are one thing-- but sheer WEIGHT is rarely a good thing in musical performance. C'mon, conductor: lighten up a little and put some VERVE in the sound. This reminds me of some of the comically heavy performances by the Seattle Men's Chorus in the 80's-- audiences were left DRAGGING from the hall at the end of the concerts! Still, they get a "B+" for effort...
