I'm not sure you know about this but i have an elite 95 litre tank with a jet flo 100 filter, it runs down the back and the flow of water is very quick, the bubbles it creates however in the filter floats on the top and moves slowly so im assuming would the gouramis be able to breed with these conditions???

@webkinzandcpfan1 groumis come from the same family as bettas so they make the nest and they guard it also

@webkinzandcpfan1 I believe so.

how old was your fish before it started to make a nest ??

I had no problem at all housing neon tetras with my dwarf gouramis. I did, however, have a problem with other tetras, such as monk tetras. They'd even bite the neon's heads and tails off. =[ I don't know how many times I came home to headless or tailless neon tetras on the gravel. I love dwarf gouramis though. They seem to have such weird personalities, but I love it.

dont think neons nip i have loads of them they are very peaceful

hey, around about what size do gouramis become sexually mature?
I heard that neon tetras are fin nippers. Do your neons nip at your gouramis?

I've only noticed that neon tetras tend to nip other neons - however i'm sure that's some sort of hierarchical thing going on. i've never seen neons hassling any other fish!
