The battle for electric car supremacy rages on. http://www.WatchMojo.com compares the Nissan LEAF and the Chevrolet Volt to see which comes out on top.
The volt and Leaf DO NOT require home charging units. You can plug them into any 120 home plug. Its just that in the case of the leaf, a 120v plug is a 20 hour charge time, vs the Volts more usable 10 hour charge. The Volt doesn't need the home charge unit to be a day to day driver.
@Slappnaavva: you are so right!! So these guys here really claim that charging the 10.4 kWh that will be used at max by the Volt in 10 hours is better than recharging a completely depleted 24 kWh battery in 19 hours for the LEAF makes the Volt the winner in this category???
@lilgman191 I've got to set the record straight as you cannot belive the marketing. The Volt is a SERIES HYBRID which differs to the Prius' PARALLEL HYBRID. Google it or check on Wikipedia but it still is a hybrid and not an electric car
@JustAnotherBigAl The difference is the prius is a hybrid that can go 13 miles on elctric then it back to a hybrid. The volt is and electric car all the time the different is the volt engine charges the battery rather than move the wheels.
This is a non-comparison. The Volt is not actually an electric car and therefore cannot be compared to the Leaf. Compare the Volt to another PHEV such as the new Prius and then view the results.
