looks like the reflection of LED's in the window are some sort of load sensor. tells where the snow is pushing back at the blade. idk tho i am just guessign

Good guess but, those lights are actually from the control box where all the levers are to move the plows. You can see his hand shadows cover the light reflection at certain points. Really shows how much attention has to be given during plowing on public roads.

The drivers do not "see" where the road is, they "feel" it. After you've done it for a while you can feel when the edge of the blade rides the edge of the road. everything from a change in vibration intensity to change in noise, to a change in "pull".
