Stephanie's Cotillion Swing

After the waltz performance, you all wanted to know if you had earned the title of "BEST ENTOURAGE EVER," and I told you that in order for me to grant you that title, I needed a PERFECT swing that consisted of ATTITUDE from the girls, SUAVENESS from the guys, the dip at the right time, and execution of ALL 9 tricks, and after your swing performance, I must say that you have most definitely earned the title of BEST ENTOURAGE EVER along with MOST TALENTED ENTOURAGE!

When I first met all of you in February, I knew from the START that I would be able to push you all to a limit I have NEVER attempted with any other entourage. I THANK EACH and EVERY one of you for working through the ups and downs through the past 5 months, and I hope that you all see now that my sometimes "harsh" treatment was to prepare you as best as I can to perform at the level you all danced at for this swing.

The swing was PERFECTION! The chair trick was unexpected. The ladies brought the SULTRY, while the guys brought the SEXY! Listen to the excitement in the crowd when the guys pointed in the air and did their "8-steps," when the girls slid in between the legs, and when the guys did their snaps. Dedrick and Malia: GREAT job for setting the tone for the rest of the tricks. Raven and Lauren: Raven, you were the BEST PERFORMER of the night, but I'm sure you've heard that all your life and will continue to receive that complement, and Lauren, you had the MOST PASSION in all your poses. Charles and Harbir: the last minute change of your trick paid off, because I feel the flip you did was CROWD PLEASING. Kevin and Paige: you guys have to be ONE OF THE BEST SWING COUPLES. Dean and Gabbi: you are the prime example of a perfect partnership. Dean with his ability to be the FOUNDATION of the stunt and Gabbi with her ATHLETICISM to support yourself and extend your legs. Kate and me: THE BEST SWING COUPLE! HAHAHA! We probably received one of the loudest CHEERS from the crowd! Josh and Cassey: excellent STRENGTH from Josh and LANDING from Cassey. You two also received one of the loudest cheers. Matt and Sharon: SKITTLES!!! Sharon, great leap and TRUST. Matt great ENTHUSIASM. John and Stephanie: we save the best for last because you two had the BEST TRICK OF THE NIGHT. John great DANCE ABILITY and Stephanie great job of supporting yourself and FINISHING with the jump off.

I'm HONORED to have been your choreographer, even more honored to be apart of the entourage, but even LUCKIER to have been given the chance to get to know all of you. I've never spent more time with an entourage outside of practice than I have with all of you from our entourage bonding day to red velvet cupcake purchasing, sushi eating, and after-party celebrating! I wish all of you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors in college and beyond, and I hope all of you maintain the friendships you have gained through this experience. I motion for, at the least, monthly reunions!!!
