International Democracy Day TV Debate on RTK

The OSCE Mission in Kosovo supported a televised debate focusing on youth participation in decision making, for International Democracy Day on 15 September 2011.

The debate brought together Members of the Assembly of Kosovo, Hydajet Hyseni and Arben Gashi; and the first President of the recently established Kosovo Youth Action Council, Mensur Morina; and the Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Ambassador Werner Almhofer.

They discussed the current state of youth involvement in democratic processes and explored policy options, as well as future roles of government and non-government stakeholders, in increasing youth participation.
