Doesn't seem like there were [many] activists present. Where were the absent ones, shopping, preferring to stay in war locations, or what? Or is it a small town where this event took place? David spoke of shutting "[this] town down", so I'd guess the event took place in DC and would expect many activists to be able to show up there.

Small and short demonstrations won't have any consequences with Washington pols.

Trian, of course we don't abandon a military defense! Cutting back on our monstrously bloated war budget (off of which many people are making ALOT of money from no contract bids and now oil rights to Iraq's oil) would give healthcare, education, food to our citizens and start the process of providing jobs to stop wars - jobsforafghans (dot) org, for starters.
