The point is that if he wasn't drinking his concentration would have been better and he would have kept his eyes on the road.

If you're in a situation when you're drunk and you only have a short distance to drive (one kilometer or so), then you may be TEMPTED to drive because it COSTS both TIME and MONEY for a taxi, then some INCONVENIENCE to retrieve the car when you're sober.
This commercial shows you something can go WRONG, even if you've got only a few minutes of driving - potentially making you THINK TWICE b4 drink driving.
