a slide show video of the allis chalmers model G tractor built from 1948 to 1955

i do not own any video or pictures or the audio the video clips belong to (allischalmersD19)

Manufacturer: Allis Chalmers
Factory: Gadsden, Alabama, USA
Total built: 29,976
Original price (USD): $970 (1955)

engine Continental AN-62 vertical L-head 4 cylinder engine

transmission 4 speed 3 forward and 1 reverse

The Allis-Chalmers G was designed for small farms and gardens. The small, rear-engine machine was more like the motor cultivators of the 1920s than a tractor. It featured a full line of custom implements that mounted under the belly.

  • Thoose tractors were made in Gasden, Alabama , about a thirty minute drive from my dads farm. The plant was destroyed in the late 80's but every year in August-September they have a show on the old plant site. Very good vid. 5 stars :)

  • LOVE your videos and music selections; its like being in the past on some of the clips. Thank you! Next week we're auctioning our G, its mower, etc., and my heart is breaking. Seven old Allises of various models have all been with us for decades and are like part of the family. I hope the next people will care for them and love them, too. Your videos and those of others will help keep them in our hearts and memories. Thank you again.

  • Nice video man. Id like to have a G neat tractors. Thanks for the sub too.
