With Emile Aarts, scientific program director at Philips research laboratories, we spoke about the fundamental changes the global electronic concern has gone through in the last decade. He also explains why the added value for users does not come from technology but from design and why it's so hard for companies like Philips to measure the return on investment for innovation.
