Never seen a gasoline engine powered plucker on here, so I decided this video must be added.

It was "engineered" from a Craftsman walk behind push weed trimmer. I also added a sink with plumbing to it and the copper spray ring inside the tub. The drain pipe is loose so it breaks down and the whole unit is mobile with the original push handle.

Some advantages of the gas powered engine over electric motors are...
1) variable speed
2) governor
3) no electricity required

Also, one cool feature is that you can easily crank it just by turning the featherplate by hand.

Enjoy.

  • Nate that was a good vid. Where did you get the "fingers" and how much did they cost?

  • ebay...around 50 cents each if you're lucky or you buy a lot of them...I bought a box of 500 and sold what i didn't use back on ebay

  • The Chicken I buy from the store was grown in a big green grassy field with a few other chickens while nice music was played, then a vet came out and put them to sleep gently and then the feathers just dropped off by themselves and the inside yukky part just falls out and they put it a bag so I can cook them, the chicken i ate had a wonderfull life.

  • that's wonderful

  • eew he shood have taken the head off ...and bleeded it

  • the bird was bled out the neck prior to scalding....what exactly is the "eew" about anyways?

  • That plucker is running way too fast.

It seems to work for you though.

  • Is that a meat tenderizer?

  • Smart!!

  • I want one in my kitchen

  • it was singing "you spin me right round baby right now" lol

  • Thanks for the video. I've been thinking about a gas powered plucker as well. Can you show how you connected the engine to the spinning plucker plate? Well done and thanks for confirming my concept.

  • beautiful. Just breathtaking!

  • @GUNDAMZGOK

Yay! Now I know where hot dogs came from... thanks a million Mister!

  • did all of your have ever seen the Dog plucker machine??!!!, i was seen that machine 2 times in vietnam, and it's more amazing than this chicken plucker machine!! just put on some boiling water and push star buttion....But smell is really terrible!!

  • Awesome. How did you make the feather plate? From the bottom of a plastic barrel? And how did you mount it to the top of the flywheel on your mower. I am looking for something, anything now. I just test drove the one I was making to fit on a table grinder shaft and there was so much wobble that it flew off and broke my pvc endcap
