  • Really great! What size mouthpiece do you use?

  • Right now I play on a Bach 1c

  • Really nice, Brandon. I like that one--especially since it's something that I think I could pull off playing if I worked a bit on it, though maybe not as well as you. By the way, tell the cheapskates at the school to turn on some heat so you don't have to bundle up so much indoors.

  • haha, thanks. I really liked this one. I'll play some more of these and post them up sometime.

  • do you still have that piece? i would really like to do it!!

  • @VivaLaTrumpet range isnt the issue, sizes are for tone. it really depends on how you play. everyone is different, thats why we have so many different mouthpieces. (try using a hammond design. much better than bach)

  • just so you know, the black cushion thing around the valve casing gets black stuff on the trumpet. it will eventually start to eat through the silver and then into the brass. right when i found out i went home and got some silver polish cloths and got it right off.

  • I have that same horn...I didnt get the first slide saddle, I got the trigger, but that is a great horn.

  • I was told 1c is bad for range. Does it really make your range not high?

  • Ive played songs from this book before, one ive really liked playing is bolero

  • hey is that a Zeus ztr700? i might get one =) it sounds great well done!

  • Phillip Smiths book Concert Studies For Trumpet

  • In Florida, the (highschool) all-state audition pieces have been from this book the past 5 or so years. I absolutely love this book

  • This song is from "Concert Studies for Trumpet" from Philip Smith. You can order it by every sheet music shop.
