MUCH more at http://www.mikes-review.com/logitech-alert-review.htm
The video samples in this video is part of a full review of the Logitech Alert Closed Circuit Television System (CCTV). Although it has a few weak points, this is a highly recommended video security system.

  • Will the software allow you to record for great lengths.. ie weeks..etc..And if so can a NAS be a method of saving the recordings?

  • @BajanBassPlayer Yes, and yes.

  • The cost of these units to do a full home surveillance is prohibitive. Not to mention, you can only access it from one computer. Want to watch motion events from your phone? Be prepared to pay a monthly fee. I also have the Swann system, but I'm finding the interface very clunky and the resolution is pretty bad. My biggest problem with it is finding that motion detection events is really difficult.

  • @Ellie09809230923 The cost is $304 for the first camera and $280 each for cameras two through six. You don't have to buy a recorder so you save that. I don't know your point of reference but that is considerably cheaper than my previous systems. You can watch remotely for free. There is an annual fee of $80 if you want the ability to remotely replay recorded video. This should be free as far as I'm concerned but there is no monthly fee.

  • if this is wireless how often does it need to be charged?

  • @gegsheekis It is not wireless. The cameras plug into 110 VAC, standard house current.

  • Thank you for your extensive review mentioned above...it is very informative and helpful in my decision to finally get a camera!!

    ^^X^^

  • Isnt this camera HD?

  • Cool video! I use some like this on our paranormal investigations! I just added a video of the camera and IR on my channel!

  • just for those wondering, CCTV stands for Closed Circuit TeleVision, it's based on how the camera works

  • @RandomConcepts Ha! I guess so if you can watch them from the other side of the planet!

  • Thanks for the great review! After reading your site, and watching this video, we decided to send back the system we had just purchased, and order this one. Can't wait!
