"Bonk" was chosen as a 2008 best book by the San Francisco Chronicle, St. Louis-Post Dispatch, and Boston Globe. Mary has written for Outside, National Geographic, Wired, New Scientist, The New York Times Magazine, and NPR's "All Things Considered," among many others.
