Jesus would be more fitting, however, Moroni represent the restoration of the Gospel of Christ. You see, Moroni faces EAST where Christ were born. Also facing to a sunrise, a dawn of restoration and so on.

My home Temple, I LOVE it!! An interesting fact I thought people like might to know is that the Angel Moroni on top of the Temple is actually holding the Gold Plates!! It's one of only like 5 Temples to have such!! I actually have a picture of it, I took a picture of the Angel Moroni and after I heard this I looked at it and compared it to the Rexburg Temple and it's very clear!!! (My roommate had to do a "magazine" on Temples and found this out!! :P) Gotta love BYU-I!!

That IS interesting! It's too bad I didn't know that before I made the video, I was trying to looks for interesting tidbits like that.
