Man the explosions in this game are so satisfying.

He makes this look WAY TOO EASY. It took me hours just to memorize and get through the first part of this level without dying. And holy shit...that boss is really difficult. This guy is amazing.

This dude has the right idea on the boss...kill all its parts at the same time to spend the least amount of time in the boss' kickass phase.

That Faith track from the Ikaruga OST is just so damn fucking good and awesome, especially after 1:20. I still suck, using up all my continues here and am still used to Touhou gameplay ...
Really nice video, even considering it is from 2005, from YouTube's child days!

@test18258 I know that, I have played the game... It's just that at 0:21 the Ikaruga was blue and still didn't get hit by the red bullets. musli4brekkies already explained why the bullets didn't hit though; "they have to hit like right in the middle of the ship to kill you."
Where was I going with this?

@GOTLANDSKORV Because when you are red/black you absorb red/black attacks same goes for when you are white/blue and when you absorb enough you can fire that absorbed energy as the missle attack.

I download the trial of Ikaruga last year and play level 1, "Hm, seems fun and easy."
I download the full version of Ikaruga yesterday and play the stages after 1, "OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL'S HAPPENING!?"

The music for this level is freakin awesome. And this level is freakin hard. That giant hoola hoop you have to fight at the end made me cry too. And yes its ok to cry shadow.
