SOULCALIBUR for iPhone/iPad is one of the all-time best weapon-based fighting games and gets ported over to iOS for the first time. The app is universal, so one purchase gets you versions for both an iPad and iPhone.

Available on the App Store for $11.99

Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch (4th generation), and iPad 2. Requires iOS 4.3 or later.

Graphics: Beautiful graphics and effects. A-
Sound: Great background music during fights. Sound effects sound like you're in an arcade. B-
Gameplay: Controls may take some getting used to and manipulating to find the best custom layout. C+
Replay Value: No multiplayer hurts. Completing the different game modes with different fighters and trying to master moves will take some time. B+
Overall (not an average): B+

  • You forgot to mention that this lacks mission mode. The original Dreamcast and Xbox Live versions both have it, along with multplayer.

You have to pay $12 for this despite unorthodox(shitty) controls and significant game modes missing.

Anyone that has a Xbox 360, is better off spending $9.99 for that version.

  • Great vid. bro: i subscribed to your channel i love soul calibur graphics are sick, I'm glad they brought this game to iPad i plan on getting it when they release the iPad 3.

  • @phoenix75888 I myself am a traditional hardcore gamer. I still have the original for my Dreamcast aswell.

  • If you want to play a gimped game simply because its portable, thats your choice. I'm more of a traditional hardcore gamer (particularly Fighters), so playing this type of game without proper controls and competitive play(multi-player) doesn't interest me.

However, I can see someone that is purely a casual gamer not minding the flaws, especially if they don't have a choice.

My suggestion was mostly for anyone that wanted to re-experience this great game fully featured and get more for their $.

  • @phoenix75888 Wait,so you can take the Xbox 360 version on the go? My subway doesn't have any wall outlets.

  • cant wait for tekken!

  • Omg finally i've been waiting for tis for so long!!

  • So you recommend?

  • good revu as usual keep it up!!
