Blue Thunder Movie Trailer

Blue Thunder is a specially modified helicopter. It is for police work, but is armed and designed to counter street insurgencies. It's makers want to show what it will do, but have to train a Los Angeles Police pilot Frank Murphy, to fly and use it in order to allow it to operate in the city. Murphy and the project pilot have differences going back to Vietnam. The conflict between them continues to heat up as Murphy begins to suspect that Blue Thunder is more than has been disclosed.

Roy Scheider is one of those under appreciated actors who we all see but don't really realize how good he is. I like Blue Thunder and Malcolm McDowell makes a great villian. You just look at him and either he suits your purposes or you hate him. Not really a character you can like just he can do things for you that you want no part of yourself. Love the final helicopter chase.

I see the deleted scene where the Vega goes sideways through the alley. They pushed the bounds of realism with the stuff that Vega is able to do in the released version, but that piece of crap could never have pulled this off.

Another great film from the 80's i watched it last year i think, no judgement i didnt compared to nowadays movies and i loved it, i love the dialogue when they are testing the chopper in the city.. and i was rooting for the girl to deliver the evidence to the news while he was saving his ass.

Blue Thunder on first edition DVD has the truer 70mm six-track Dolby Stereo mix with untapped monaural surrounds centre and LFE.1 the bluray has been seriously messed up with fake stereo surrounds butached centre channel and LFE.1 where all lows from LCRS have been routed to the LFE.1.

Buy the R1 or R2 early editions if you want to experience Blue Thunder as it was in 70mm
